well i assume he's talking about the movie, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, which i have seen at least a dozen times on dvd. however, the warriors in guild wars, not to mention their weapons, have so little in common with chinese martial arts it's laughable, and that's totaly not the point of the /dance emote.

if you dont believe me, next time you go to a party, try swinging an axe around instead of dancing. :P

Just some ideas for towning, didn't necessarily have to be martial arts style dancing, you could coreagraph them according to the fighting style, fenching, axe twirling/juggling, eh, whatever, i'm not the coreographer, just an idea man as a hobby.

Spellcasters could use wands/staves in the oriental style where long ribbions trail from the end, only it's sparkle type stuff according to element on wand/staff, not really a weapon kata, just a pretty dance.

Any ranger is a bit trickier though, how do you do something cool with a bow?

I think all that would be better than the Elain chicken dance and the river dance, and fit the world a bit better.

But yes, taking an axe into a nightclub would be a little wierd.

Eh, didn't mean to hijack thread, sorry. I saw weapons ant town, and ideas just hit me.

Agreed.

I doubt they have time to give us extra eye candy at the minute though but it's a good idea all the same.

this why im being so anal about my suggestion simply including the option to show or hide weapons as they already appear in the game, not adding any animations or other code.

Maybe instead of having weapons out you have them in shealths. Hammers, axes and bows are kept on back shealths. Swords on belt shealths.
Wands, scpeters kept on the belt and staffs kept out.
